I visited British Columbia in September, 2009. The trip included a boat ride off Vancouver Island to observe marine animals, and a long boat ride from northern Vancouver Island to the remote Knight's Inlet to photograph grizzly bears. The bears were viewed from a platform about 30-40m away, and they were doing their best to catch spawning salmon in a river. They didn't seem to notice us photographers, and we kept our movements to a bear, er, bare minimum. Click on any picture below to view a larger size of the image. All were taken with a Nikon D300 DSLR. |
